About
Wonder House: www.facebook.com/wonderhouseband
Wonder House is a Philly-based original band formed in 2021. The group started as a collaboration between songwriters John Luther, who fronted the successful band Hot House Orchids in Phoenix, AZ and moved to Philadelphia in 2019, and Topher Horner, a longtime veteran of the Philadelphia area music scene (April Mae and the June Bugs, The Knife and Fork Band, The Low Road, and Go To Blazes among others).
Wonder House music is built on a solid foundation of Jon Kelsey’s drums (as heard in the Manayunk Homeboys The Knife and Fork Band, and The Rolling Hayseeds) and Topher’s upright bass. A three-prong guitar approach from Mark Tucker (John Train, The Donuts, The Rolling Hayseeds), Matt Voelker, and Chris Hoxie provide depth and intricacy, intertwining with John’s integral keyboards. Mark also brings his excellent steel guitar and keyboard playing into the mix. John is an engaging front man with a powerful voice and a lot of energy. Chris, Topher, and Julie Whitaker add strong vocal harmonies.
Quiclk Chills: https://www.facebook.com/quickchills
A heady rock ‘n’ roll experiment conducted by four heretical phononauts with nothing to lose and nothing else worth doing, Quick Chills is your fix for catchy songs, heavy riffs, swinging drums and soaring vocals. Est. 2021.
Nicholas Lurwick & God's Folly: https://nicholaslurwick.com
Nicholas Lurwick is a singer/songwriter who was raised in the Delaware County area outside of Philadelphia, PA. With his outlaw country edge, post-punk aesthetic and rootsy American folk & blues background Lurwick offers an intense one-of-a-kind experience. Nicholas has been in and out of the music scene performing at open mics, bars and flea markets and busking for 10 years, but 2022 marks a return after 7 years to perform his songs once again with a full band. God's Folly is a collective of immensely talented backing musicians from in and around the Philadelphia area. With John McCarthy on bass, Derek Gertz on lead guitar and John Bogansky on drums, God's Folly adds an entirely new dimension to Nicholas Lurwick's repertoire.
