Formed in 2018, Uncle Jawn’s Band grew out of 5 local Philadelphia musician’s desire to recreate not necessarily the music of The Grateful Dead, but their spirit. Rather than focus on a specific era or style of the band, UJB takes the songs of The Dead and uses them to create something unique and exciting. Far from being a typical tribute act, Uncle Jawn’s Band is committed to keeping The Grateful Dead’s musical fearlessness and sense of community alive and onstage for thousands of enthusiastic fans.
