228 Presents: The June 3rd-sday Showcase!

Cool off and chill out with another round of original visiting and local acoustic acts in a listening room environment, as 228 Productions presents the June edition of The 3rd-sday Showcase... This month features the varied styles of Paintcan, AFTYN, Girl Science, and Danny Justice!

PAINTCAN is the artistic nom de plume of Phillip McKenna, perhaps the longest-running veteran of these 3rd-sday showcases! Paintcan plays songs about things, possibly lonely robots, and will be once again accompanied by the acclaimed Captain R.O.D. Johnson on tin whistle, of whom no photos are known to exist. A simplistic indie/folk duo, AFTYN aims to evoke an updated '70s folk sound, blended with both classic and alternative influences.
