Yes, by request, 228 Productions presents an intensive five-hour shoegaze-billy-core band lineup, featuring the finest...
APRIL FOOL'S! (Actually, some of you would probably dig that, so we won't go into it.) We do have a pretty awesome show for you -- even if the bands left the electronic didgeridoos at home -- with returning faves Perlin Noise, Bern & The Bastards, and BEES, and the debut of weirdo punks Creepyslayerz! (lineup below is in reverse order of play)
PERLIN NOISE is a six-piece Philly indie rock band inspired by '60s and '70s rock, according to their bio. Their name refers to CGI in random-looking visual patterns, according to internets. Their sound will make you a new fan, according to their December 10th appearance at Soundbank! http://hearperlinnoise.com/
Catchy hooks and cult-genre lyrics blend with a healthy dose of political satire during a BERN & THE BASTARDS show! Run out of town on a rail following last August's second "Night Of The Leos" showcase, B&TB returns to refill the merch table with copies of their latest album, "The Revenge Of..."
I'll present the next bio exactly as it was sent, errors and all: "We are the last line of defense against all you things that creep in the dark. We have become the Big Guns. And we're gonna stop you before you eat our faces, or something.
So beware Buttsnacks! The CREEPYSLAYERZ are hear! we're so cool."
And if that weren't enough, prepare for "BEES!: Rise of the Drum Machines. They're back, and this time they've left some of their humanity behind!" Veterans at rockin' Soundbank and The Basement at PJ's, they invite you to catch the goofy riffy buzz at https://linktr.ee/beesphilly.
$10 tix (and bees). Doors, kitchen & bar open 6pm; show runs 7-11pm. Thanks for supportin' the scene, and please... Leave YOUR electronic didgeridoo at home!
General Admission Ticket. Seating is first come first served.
