When + Where
Jan 22, 8:00 PM
Phoenixville, 119 S Main St, Phoenixville, PA 19460, USA
You cool with gettin' weird? Let's infuse some life into this dead month with a combustible cocktail of modern rockabilly, dark blues, gothic lounge and other buzzy descriptors, as 228 Productions presents Mighty Joe Castro and the Gravamen, The Wedding Funeral, and Cthulhu Martini!
MIGHTY JOE CASTRO AND THE GRAVAMEN sound like Buddy Holly if he'd had access to a stack of effect pedals and some Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds records. Choose your groove at https://linktr.ee/MightyJoeCastroandtheGravamen!
THE WEDDING FUNERAL is the brainchild of internationally touring, alternative punk-blues musician Darren Deicide and choral-trained Ethel Lynn Oxide. Using vernacular and homemade instruments, including musical saw and cigar box guitar, TWF "fuse deep, dark bat-cave creepiness onto their acoustic guitar picking and open-throat howls," "[using] rootsy blues-style instrumentation to jump all around the musical map, from pastoral British folk sounds to deep South blues to bizarre noise interludes," say reviewers. www.theweddingfuneral.com
CTHULHU MARTINI is currently Lana Maloney, Steve White, Eric Crow, and Tony Revolta. Fueled by a love of The Cramps, the image of Vegas, and enough whiskey to drop a ten megaton elephant, we gave birth to a monster. Cthulhu rises from the deep. He's come for cocktails. https://cthulhumartini.bandcamp.com/
