About

The third Thursday acoustic showcase rolls into the merry month of May with a packed lineup of local superstars from the 228 Productions stable, including the talents of Dave Karaban, Elliott Christ, 2Hill, and Canadian Tuxedo!

CANADIAN TUXEDO is Larry Hoy on guitar & vocals and Monica Meilleur on violin & vocals. This denim clad duo dreams up dynamic arrangements of rock, roll, blues, folk, and more -- and it's been a hot minute since we've had them out, so they get to headline!

2HILL is an American musician/poet/lyricist/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist, and performer -- primarily a guitar player/ songwriter who also enjoys experimenting with drums, bass, vocals, keyboards & organs. 2Hill has appeared in such bands as Kamakaze, The Blakk Diamond Band, and Dirty Soap.

ELLIOTT CHRIST is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who has played venues from Steel City to New York's The Bitter End, both solo and with the bands The Pony Express and The Big Hat. He draws inspiration from Americana, classic rock, and whatever else sounds pretty good to him. https://elliottchrist.bandcamp.com/

DAVE KARABAN is a local singer/songwriter from the suburbs of Philadelphia.  After years of playing bass in original bands all around Philly and the burbs, getting the attention and airplay on WXPN, he decided to go out on his own performing acoustic solo shows. His original songs are melodic, soulful and introspective, reflecting his rock/pop influences. https://www.reverbnation.com/davekaraban $5 cover; all-ages. Doors, kitchen & bar open 6pm; show runs 7-10pm. Thanks for supportin' the scene, and keep an eye out for more original music showcases every 3rd Thursday at The Soundbank!
