About

APRIL FOOLS! Yes, we here at 228 Productions, indeed, are. Apologies to those of you who were excited for that show... You can leave out the back. (ahem) Actually, we've got quite the varied musical showcase planned, if for no other reason than that's what we do... Get ready for a crazygood lineup featuring sets by Shadow Puppets, Cinema Hearts, Hatter, and The Spyders Of HBG!

7pm-ish... THE SPYDERS OF HBG return to The Soundbank (last seen on 12/2, also w/ Shadow Puppets), bringing soulful tongue-in-cheek lyrics and a clean sound combined with adrenaline-fueled melodies and tight harmonies, wrapped up nicely with savage drums. They have a unique and creative voice all their own and provide a performance that is wild and wacky; always leaving audiences wanting more.

8pm-ish... Also no stranger to the Phoenixville scene, Tamaqua-based HATTER fuses big vocals and groovin' low end with blazing guitar solos and a captain's hat that will make you want to keep the party going all night long!

9pm-ish... An ex-pageant queen who makes power pop? Cue CINEMA HEARTS, the indie rock musical project of Washington, D.C.'s Caroline Weinroth. Cinema Hearts' Your Ideal EP, produced by Bartees Strange, chronicles the experience of competing in the world of Miss America pageants. A former Miss Virginia contender, Weinroth crafts songs about the loneliness, frustration and cut-throat drive it took to win, and then lose, on the glitzy pageant stage.

10pm-ish... Our returning headliner SHADOW PUPPETS is a dark blend of Garage, Punk and Psyche Rock. Songs of love/ hate themes with SteamPunk and spooky stuff. Influenced by the Stooges and thirteenth-floor elevators, with a sound that can't help but move you to dance, jump and shout!

$10 advance tix, $15 day of show. All-ages, too! Kitchen & bar open 5pm; doors start 6pm; show runs 7-11pm. Thanks for supportin' the scene, and stay tuned for more genre-mashup showcases here at The Soundbank from 228 Productions!
